INTER CLUB VISIT TO ORANGE

13,14 and 15 April 2012

 

Travel:

Driving - 3 1/2 to 4 hours from Sydney

 

Final weekend may be varied but the intention is to coincide with

Food Week activities

 

Possible activities:

Club meeting Rotarians and friends late afternoon at winery or alternatively at Millthorpe.

 

Winery visits late afternoon or dinner at winery.

 

Balloon rides Sunday Canowindra

 

Golf

 

With an extended stay there is an enormous amount of choice

 

Accommodation:

Motel in town

Shared houses (whole house) in town

Bed and Breakfast

House accommodation at wineries

 

Local transport to and from Orange minibus

 

Commitment:

A deposit of $50.00 per head plus additional allowance to pay deposit on accommodation.

 

Early deposits:

Deposits must be paid early because particular weekend coincides with Food Week, school holidays and pressure on accommodation from nearby Cadia Mine.

 

Without early commitment it is financially too risky for the Club to run and because of demand it is unlikely that any booking can be made at the last moment.

Resolution to run the trip and whether the Club will underwrite deposits.
